Matthew J. Nordgren is the Founder and Managing Partner of Arcadian Capital, a Los Angeles-based investment firm focused on high-growth opportunities across frontier technology, artificial intelligence, health and wellness, digital assets, media, and professional sports. At the forefront of more than 100 transactions exceeding $4 billion, he is trusted by family offices, Fortune 500 executives, and government and industry leaders to steward capital with discretion and long-term conviction.

Under his leadership, Arcadian has backed more than 70 founders across a portfolio of over 40 companies — including SpaceX, xAI, Figure AI, and Soho House — partnering early and selectively in opportunities unavailable through traditional channels.

A former quarterback for the Texas Longhorns and part of a National Championship team, Mr. Nordgren earned two degrees on a full athletic scholarship before playing professionally with the Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles. The discipline and leadership forged on the field remain the foundation of his business philosophy — and of The Leadership Foundation, the nonprofit he founded to empower at-risk youth through sports and education.

Mr. Nordgren played quarterback for the Texas Longhorns at the University of Texas at Austin, contributing to a National Championship-winning team, before playing professionally with the Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles. A recognized voice in health, wellness, and technology, he speaks frequently at premier industry and family office conferences.

He is the founder of The Leadership Foundation, a nonprofit empowering at-risk youth through sports and education.
